| On december 31st, 2011 Barack Obama quietley signed a bill that scares the shit out of me. The NCAA Act says that American Citizens can now be detained by the military for an indefinite amount of time without A TRIAL!
Anybody find something discomforting. The military can come to your home and take you away, saying you have some information they need and whisk you away without a trial. Oh the possibilities for abuse and exploit of this law. Let's say they want to take someone out really bad, and that certain someone actually has NOTHING to do with terrorism. They whisk him away and say you are being detained for an indefinite amount of time because you are under suspicion of treason. No trial, no hearing. No way you can defend yourself, even if youre innocent.
Thoughts? |

| My only problem with it is that it is a direct violation of the 4th Amendment, but besides that consider this: it's only allowed for people who are highly suspected of being terrorists. People are in outcry because they fear the government will abuse the law, yet there hasn't been any instance of the government abusing it so far. I think that if they don't abuse it then there is no problem (don't want to be detained, don't be a terrorist). If they do, then all discontent is appropriate.
Also, there was something in the bill about an annual review of the terms of one's detainment. Forgot exactly what it was but it was in there. |

| Another step in turning the United States into a communist society by 2030. If you don't think this is going to happen, you must be a liberal democrat and thus part of the group making it happen. |

| I hope the world turns into Brave New World and not 1984. Now, 1984 was a great book and BNW sucked cock, but I'd rather have have as many orgies as I want without getting pregant and government-distributed happydrugs than sex being illegal |

| No, in 1984 sex was illegal. It was the better book of the two, though. No comparison. I can see why my post was confusing dawg |

| sex is not illegal, it's just that they pick two people who are least emotionally and physically attracted to each other so sex would not occur unless they were producing babies |

| They can take away every right on the Bill of Rights, but the 2nd amendment is the one I'll go down fighting for. |

| Oh btw it's called "NDAA" not "NCAA". The latter would stand for "National Collegiate Athletic Association". |
