| I did. And I agree. But I'll also tell you that a redneck like myself is not going to like rap. ANY rap. Therefore, I'm not going to waste my time. Tim, I do respect your taste, but it's still just...ugh. Classic rock is slowly dying. 20 years from now you'll ask anyone under the age of 30 who Stevie Nicks is and they'll give you this: It's sad. Hell, I bet only YEM and Dan know who Stevie Nicks is. A couple others might as well, idk. It's just sad how far downhill music has gone. It used to take more than a voice and an autotuner or DJ stand. (yes, rap is part of this.) It used to take 3 or more guys/gals with a shitload of talent putting their abilities together to create sounds that showed talent. Now, yeah, ok, you can talk fast into a microphone and rhyme stuff that most of the time someone else wrote, and your "instrumental" backups are 3 nerds sitting in front of computer screens. 950 posts to go. |

| That comment just shows how little you know about good hip hop. Get shitty hip hop like Lil Wayne out of your mind. Please, Ein, listen to Glass by Eyedea and Abilities. You MUST love it. |

| After I finish Big Balls by AC/DC.
EDIT: It's ok. You can actually hear the voice, unlike mainstream rap. I won't be clamoring to buy it on iTunes, but I don't hate it. 950 posts to go.

UNTRUE. Rock music has INCREDIBLE longevity, which is why we still hear the classics today, and we will for a very long time. Don't worry man. |

How the fuck do you put classics like Led Zep, Pink Floyd and Nirvana with shit like Fall Out Boy and Ne-Yo? Seriously, what the flucking ferz? |
dude, i have put off saying this for a while because I thought you had a some what valid point, but there are more genres in music other than "classic rock". So maybe you should respect that I can listen to more styles of music. Respect my opinions. If you did this maybe you wouldn't get paid out so often.

Even though I also agree with Ein, I also agree with you. (lol) Ein, you should really start to listen to other music. I used to be as stubborn as you too, only listening to (classic) rock music, because it was classic rock music, because I thought I was cool listening to it. Some of my friends really got me into hip hop, and I starting exploring further and further, eventually finding the music that fitted me completely, and I think I finally have the music on my laptop now that really fits me. A mix between Grunge, bit Classic rock, Hip-Hop and some electronic music. I still completely try to avoid Modern "billboard" music though. Clear reason: it sucks. That's why I was surprised about both Ne-Yo and Fall Out Boy. It's not that I don't like it because it is popular or something, it just has no, ehm, it just doesn't give me the great feeling I normally get while listening to good music.
To Ein (and Tim, if you also want some good hip-hop music): Ein, to get you a bit into Hip-Hop I strongly suggest you to listen to the following bands: Flobots, Eyedea & Abilities and 2Pac. Start with those, and to know you will find the right music, listen to Glass (by Eyedea & Abilities), Dear Mama, Ghetto's Gospel, Changes and Hit Em Up (2pac) and basically every song by the Flobots. Even though I don't think you will like 2pac, still try it. (thanks to TRISTAN for the Flobots, thank j0000!!!) |
lol you're welcome. You're brain is either stubborn or has some sort of deformity. |

Because of the Flobots and Tool I will listen to the rest, which I don't know. (except for Incubus, which I don't like) |
