| Well, outdoor starts in a couple months and I was thinking of buying a pair. I'll be doing mostly 2 mile, and maybe mile too. So, anyone have any recommendations for good distance spikes? |

| Sorry, I don't know of any.
I would tell you to contact Cy though, he runs track. |

| Do you have any way to get to him? I don't think I can contact him except on Fuji. |

| Nikes have very good distance spikes.. at first my half mile was 2:22, then it dropped to 2:15 when I put on the spikes. |

| Sounds good, thanks. Are they fairly cheap? 60ish or below would be nice. |

| Not exactly. Mine were 110. But depending on sales and the quality, you could probably get a decent pair for 60-70. |

| That's good, I'm kind of short on cash right now. And I don't need the best ones, I'm not one of our top guys. Although now that I think about it, are there any I could use for XC in the fall as well as for track? |

| Well, I don't recommend running in spikes for cross country. They tend to hurt your feet. It's how a few people on my XC team got tendonitis (which I have right now). But, if you still want to, the nike long distance spikes can be used for XC as well as track. Whether you're getting spikes or normal running shoes, Nike has a good variety of shoes and a wide range of prices. Which is why it's one of the top running brand shoes. |
