I log on and see the last 24 hours list shrinking toward the end of the third line.

No, spoiler, fuji is not dying. We're just going through a cycle. I remember a time, several months ago, where the 24 hours list was the same way for about a week and half, and at one point a few months later we had over five lines on it. My theory is that activity happens in cycles. When people, not yet logged on, see that the last 24 hours list is greater, they are more inclined to log in, especially the users who only log in every once in a while. If they see a smaller list, they are less inclined to log in, and the level thus shrinks. We've been in this exact situation before and climbed out of it, so don't go running around saying fuji is dying, we're all still plenty tired of that from last time. I guess its kinda like what the Bush Administration thought about global warming, that its all a cycle.

More people couldn't hurt us though.

I agree on some points. It's true that activity works in cycles but i really don't think that the 24 hour list getting smaller affects people. I just think its a joint time in the year where everybody is just a little more busy. Isn't that true?

No, and thats the other thing i meant to say on my first post but I forgot. Everyone is always busy around the year, regardless of what time it is. Sure, major holidays, the week before finals and the first week of school may have an affect, but thats about it. "People are just busy this time of year" is almost never an excuse.

I think it's a very valid excuse. "That time of year" is maybe the only valid excuse on a forum for a general and temporary loss in activity.

I agree for the most part, but I dont think the 24 hours list plays a big part. I think a lot of recent posts plays a big part.
