SOUP(er)
I have to note before I begin the review that I will be as unbiased as is possible. However, please be aware when reading this review that my personal relations with SOUP have at times not been the greatest. However, like I said, I will try to not let this interfere with my review of him.
Not that we've got that out of the way, let's get started. However, let's flip the normal user review format up a bit, and grade SOUP on each individual category and give a little description. We'll do the same for his stats. So, to start, here are his stats and the grades I give them:
Join Date: June 5, 2009. I give this an A because SOUP was one of Fuji's earliest users, being the 14th to join, according to his profile link.
Posts: 3154 I give this a B+ because it is ranking in the top 15 of Fuji. While it would take nearly 4 times that to get into the top 3, he has made 3000 posts.
Topics: 116 Topics is a hard category to grade only because unless you are in the top 10 (which SOUP is not), you don't knwo where you rank. However, I give SOUP a B- because, while he is not in the top 10 topic starters, he is only 30 topics away and still makes up nearly 2% of Fuji's topics.
Posts/Topics per day: 6.25/0.23 respectively. This perhaps shouldn't be lumped together due to the disparity between the two. However, you have to keep in mind that SOUP joined 6 weeks before most other users. In any case, I give the posts per day a B because he has stayed active and posted regularly, and the topics a C. SOUP's topics are usually quite funny and make a substantial point. All of his topics are meant for something, and I can't find a single spam topic.
Friends: 28. This isn't gradable because it is based on personal preference.
Private Messages: 874. This shows that SOUP is a rather affable person to talk to, unless you get on his nerves (more on that in a bit). I give it a B regardless.
Reputation: SOUP has a 3.2:1 ratio of positive to negative rep votes recieved. For this alone I give him an A. He has also recieved 3 thanks and has given out a little bit of rep (9 positive, 8 negative and 3 thanks).
For SOUP's stats, here is the roundup:
Join Date: A
Posts: B+
Topics: B-
Posts per day: B
Topics per day: C
Private Messages: B
Reputation: A
Based on these seven grades, I would give SOUP's stats a B to a B+. Not the greatest Fuji has ever seen, but more of a normal active user. Good indeed for Fuji.
Now, onto SOUP's history and personality (they kind of go hand in hand)
Alright, I will start off by saying that SOUP doesn't have the most affable of personalities, contrasting what I said before. However, what he does have is the ability to make friends with people, regardless of his sometimes rather mean personality. Now, perhaps this meaness is only directed at me, I don't know, but in the relationships I have had with SOUP, they haven't always been great. In fact, some have been downright nasty. However, I do not think this is his overall personality. This almost has to be true because SOUP still holds the achievement of being the only Fuji user to ever hold two separate service positions, becoming Fuji's 1st Arcade Manager on June 6, just a day after joining. This is a testament to his prior repuation before joining Fuji. However, the promotion didn't last long, as SOUP was demoted just 15 days later, probably due to Faz and Dry Gum's formulation of the staff. Syfte was one of his AM partners during his time. Noble was the team leader. SOUP got rehired by Fuji on August 26, 2010, to replace Mega as a Reviewer, who had been promoted to Admin to replace Dry Gum. This went largely unnoticed due to the turmoil that ensued after DG retired. SOUP also in some extent replaced Rutz as a reviewer, who had resigned on August 14th. In any case, SOUP held his new position for a bit longer this time, being demoted on October 1, 2009. He was Fuji's 4th reviewer and worked with Shikadi. The team leader during this time was likely Faz, but there are no records to confirm this. However, SOUP was hired again nearly exactly one month later on November 2, 2009. He was hired this time to replace Shikadi. In a rather odd twist, Super was essentially hired to replace both original FUji reviewers when they were demoted. He was essentially a third unofficial reviewer, a backup of sorts. It is unknown when SOUP was demoted from this position. SOUP is known for also being one of only a few users to hold staff positions 3 separate times.
So, together with SOUP's stats, I give him a 4/5 based on his history and his prior reputation, as well as his above average stats.
