| Ok, we all know that Hitler is the psychopath that killed millions of Jews during the holocaust and started WW2, and I'm not trying to offend anybody with this thread, or deny that, only have an interesting debate.
The topic of the debate is:
If Hitler had not of started WW2 and the Holocaust, would he have gone down in history as one of the worlds greatest leaders? EDIT: and why?
Discuss.

| He was a great public speaker. Unfortunately, his incredible leadership skills were for the wrong with millions of innocent lives ended. So I say yes. |

| Funny, me and my brother were having this conversation the other day. Yes he was, sadly, he used it for the wrong reasons. |

| Yes he would've, if he didn't start the war he would've done great things for Germany. But that didn't happen and Hitler was a shitty person. |

| Yeah, he would've been a great leader and perhaps led Germany to be a greater world power, had he not tried to take over Europe through ruthless and vile means. We might hold Germany differently right now if he hadn't gone bad, to say the least. |

| He had potential to be a great leader. He knew how to take control of troubles, and knew where to put his soldier.

| He was smart. He knew what happens if you do this and if you do that. In simpler terms, he knew how the game works. |

| No. Certainly not. Hitler got to his position because he created fear. And hate. Hate for Jews, he blamed Jews for everything, without his statements, he wouldn't have gotten nowhere. Besides that, without the economical crisis in the late 20s he wouldn't have gotten nowhere either. |

There are many reasons Hitler rose to power, the main one being that Germany was desperate for a good leader who would emphasize and bring out nationalist support for Germany after being left in ruins from World War I. Hitler simply chose the Jews as a scapegoat for all of their problems due to personal grudges he held from childhood. So yes, I agree, by creating hate he rose to what he became. However, had he not done the whole scapegoat idea, he still would have been very powerful, simply due to his amazing skills of ruling and public speaking. |

I think you need some reading done. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reliability_of_Wikipedia
Going on topic, who knows. He had some ups and downs, apart from killing Jews and starting WW2. |
