This is a debate showing which is better, Original or the remake of the movie.

You can't make a debate thread about originals vs. remakes. It's much too general. It's like asking whether bananas are better than oranges, when they are two different types of fruits. You just can't do it with this type of topic.

Sequels aren't necessarily remakes.

a sequal doesn't equal a remake

A sequal is a continuation of the original movie's storyline
A remake, on the other hand, has the same plot of the original, just with different people playing the parts, effects and sometimes the added bonus of color.

I know the difference

I just wanted to point out how much Star Wars 1/2 and Sandlot 2/3 sucked.

If the original was a classic, the remakes are almost always terrible, except for Karate Kid

certain songs sound better when remade, like D.H.T's "Listen to Your Heart" and Glee's "Loser"

I almost always like the originals better, but thats just how i am.
