| This is a debate showing which is better, Original or the remake of the movie. This could be for anything too, including movies, video games, Books or anything else. |

| it really depends, usually newer ones aren't as good
1933 King Kong >> 2005 King Kong >> 1976 King Kong
Lion King >> the "sequels"
Toy Story = Toy Story 2 = Toy Story 3
The Sandlot >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The Sandlot 2/3
First 3 Star Wars (4, 5, 6) >> Star Wars 3 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Star Wars 2 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Star Wars 1
old Willy Wonka ehh (slightly) >> (then) new, even though they were both pretty bad
and that's how the chicken crossed the road

| Sequels aren't necessarily remakes. |

| a sequal doesn't equal a remake
A sequal is a continuation of the original movie's storyline A remake, on the other hand, has the same plot of the original, just with different people playing the parts, effects and sometimes the added bonus of color. |

| I know the difference I just wanted to point out how much Star Wars 1/2 and Sandlot 2/3 sucked. |

| If the original was a classic, the remakes are almost always terrible, except for Karate Kid |
