iTunes
iTunes is an extremely popular online music store run by Apple Inc. It contains thousands of music files available through purchase with a credit card or ITunes gift card, redeemable online. History: The original iTunes developed from SoundJam MP. SoundJam was created by Jeff Robbin and Bill Kincaid in 1999. Apple purchased the idea in 2000 and added the interface and ability to burn discs, and there you have it. The iTunes we know and love. Features: iTunes serves as the front end for the Apple QuickTime media player. Officially, use of iTunes is required to play music on an iPod, however, alternative software is available. Users can organize music into playlists, record CDs of songs, copy files to a digital audio player, and more. Purchasing music: iTunes features a large store, from which music, videos and online radio subscriptions are available for purchase. Prices range from 99 cents to $1.69 for individual songs. Albums can also be purchased. These start at $9.99. Free podcasts are also available for download. Interface: The iTunes interface is easy to navigate, with a standard bar at the top containing options such as File, Edit, Controls, View, Store, Advanced and Help. On the left side of the screen, a list of playlists is shown as well as a link to the iTunes store. Different views are available to view song titles and information, as well as a play viewer to see where you are in the song while playing it. Overall, I give iTunes a 5/5 because of it's variety of available music, it's usable interface, and reasonable prices. Sorry if this is short. I might be able to edit it with some more info later. |

| Even though this doesn't have to do with Itunes--Einstein, remember that Mp3ify music downloader? I'm still using it and I have NO viruses or anything of such a sort |

He missed a lot more then that, but reviews can't possibly have everything about it. & don't tell a reviewer how to review. In your 'reviews', you miss just about everything. Archived |
