I couldn't agree more, Katie. There's also the type of love (more commonly between the two sexes) where you feel strongly about someone, yet in such a way that they're like family to you, but this is completely irrelevant.

Ridiculous love however is when a 16 year old dates a 13 year old. Come on

There's no reason for you to have a girlfriend anyway, don't put yourself down about that. You're young (going by what your profile says), and should be in no hurry to start any sort of relationship greater than friendship. Don't take your younger years for granted, just enjoy them and have fun while you don't have much for responsibilities.

I say that if you fall in love in the teenage years, enjoy it. It's a widly known fact that most of the time teenage (or early teen) relationships cease after 6 or so months.

My last girlfriend was for a year and 10 months. It's not necessarily blind, or at first sight. We don't meet people we are attracted to, we are attracted to people we meet.

Anyone can fall in love with anyone.

I'm 16 and I've only had 2 relationships. That one, and now, which has been about one month more or less.

And she's almost a year older than me. She's even like a month older than Dan.

This is why most shouldn't be in a big hurry to be in relationships at such a young age. I'm not saying it's wrong, I'm saying you're usually better off just living life to its fullest, if love comes along, it comes along, but no need to purposefully search for it/attempt to force it. While getting what feels like your heart being broken at such a young age isn't a big deal later on, when you're older and more mature, it's a big deal at the time; the actions taken, especially when you're a younger age can be devastating, depending on the person and how their emotions work.
