Since Ein mentioned of a paradox in Emanl's falling tree thread, I decided I should question the Grandfather paradox.

If you were to go back in time and kill your grandparent(s), would you then die yourself ?

Yes, you would die as soon as you killed them.

Yes, becuase your grandparents played around are made yoru parents, who played around and made you. Killing them wouldn't let that chain reaction even start.

In my opinion, as soon as you kill them, you disappear into thin air.

well, if you watch back to the future you would know, that if in some way, you stop your birth from happening, you stay in the past, but never be born in the future.

no because its impossible to go back in time

but technically, if you went back in time and killed anybody your grandparents were friends with before they got together there would still be a chance you would die. killing someone that affects their daily life would change a lot of stuff

I agree with this. Confusing concept.

I think you'd still be alive. You'd just be a completely different person.

no you would not

HAD you said somthing like...

If you were to go back in time and kill your grandparent(s) before they had your parents, would you then die yourself ?
than i would say, yes you would die, in that universe, but you'd be sent into an alternate one in which you would still be alive thierfor you'd die and live at the same time.

but as to why you wouldn't die to the first one is simple.
I can kill my grandparents right now and i wouldn't die, hell i could go back 3 years and kill them and i'd still be here, cause they already had my parents and my parents already had me, its a time thing.

I think Invisi's comment makes some sense. You'd have to specify how far back in time you'd travel. If you traveled backwards one day and did the deed, well, you're still alive.

Good explanation Invis.

All of these so-called paradoxes can be solved, it just takes a little outside the box thinking.
