This is a general post describing everything happening with the Predictions game.

So far we have completed weeks 2 through 17, and will continue predicting through the NFL Playoffs.

Entering your first set of picks is not allowed if you want to be entered into our playoffs. You must have 10 weeks of predictions, and we only have 5 weeks remaining. If you do not wish to be entered into the playoffs, you may enter this week or any other week to be considered for weekly prizes.

14: 60 FBs 87.50%

For a 15-game week:
12: 30 FBs 80.00%
13: 50 FBs 86.67%
14: 115 FBs 93.33%
15: 225 FBs 100.00%

For a 14-game week:
12: 30 FBs 85.71%
13: 100 FBs 92.86%
14: 175 FBs 100.00%

For a 13-game week:
11: 30 84.62%
12: 90 92.31%
13: 150 100.00%

To be given credit in the weekly standings, you must predict 12 games for a 16 game week, and 10 games for 14- and 13-game weeks.

Regular Season prizes: (2 places since we only have 5 contestants)

You must predict 10 weeks to be eligible for regular season prizes.

Playoff prizes:

1st place: 300 FBs
2nd place: 200 FBs
3rd place: 125 FBs SF
4th place: 75 FBs Yes Im Am
5th place: 50 FBs Circle Boy

The playoff prizes are kind of like a thank you for predicting this year.

If the regular season winner also wins the playoffs, he will recieve a 100 FB bonus.

If you guess 70% of the games correct at the end of the year, you will recieve a 100 FB bouns. 75%, 250 FBs. 80%, 600 FBs.

Our playoff schedule:

Week 15:

Reg Season Winner gets a week off.
#2 vs. #5
#3 vs. #4

Week 16:
Losers will play in a matchup for 4th place. Winner is 4th, loser is 5th.

#1 and the winners will play in a round robin, making picks as usual.

The player with the lowest number of picks correct will be eliminated and will be our 3rd-place finisher.

Week 17:

The top 2 form Week 16 will play for the championship. If the 3rd, 4th and 5th place winners would like to predict in week 17, you may do so. The best score between you 3 gets an additional 20 FBs.

EDIT: If we have a four-person playoff scenario, i.e. someone does not get 10 weeks of predicting in, we will follow this playoff schedule.

WEEK 16:

#1 vs. #4
#2 vs. #3

WEEK 17: WInners play for 1st, losers for third.

Week 15 would be a week of practice if everyone has 10 weeks before then.

If only 3 players make it to the playoffs, we would follow the 5-person scenario from before, picking it up at Week 16. Week 15 would again we a practice/bye week.

If 2 players make it, then those two will play in Week 17 for the Championship. Weeks 15 and 16 would be practice/bye weeks.

If 1 person predicts 10 weeks, he would be considered the playoff champion.

The bottom line here is the regular season ends with Week 14. Weeks 15-17 are playoff weeks. Week 15 may turn into a regular season week IF AND ONLY IF 4 players have 10 weeks of predicting before then and would like to try to increase their playoff seeding.

I will update the table after Thursday games on Friday PM, Saturday games on Sunday AM, Sunday games on Sunday PM, and Monday games on Tuesday PM, as well as posting the games for the upcoming week.

As stated, you must have 10 weeks of predicting to be in the playoffs, meaning:

That is how many weeks in which you must enter predictions, out of 4 weeks, in order to be entered into the playoffs. Once you have reached the minimum # of weeks, you may continure predicting to improve your standing, or you may stop predicting. However, be warned that other users may overtake you.
