1st off, i know this isn't supposed to be in your creations... but i cant talk in the the section of graphic area thats general, it won't allow me so can someone please move this there?

Okay, so i have seen people write back to someones creations here like this, "I hate it" or "What is that supposed to be its bad" and it in no way benefits the person making it and sometimes make them want to quit. Here is some advice to help the people making the designs even though you don't like it.

1st- Saying "i hate it" is non-useful.-- Saying, " i do not like the character you used in your signature... it doesn't fit the colors you used in the rest of it. Everything seems out of place and the text is way to distracting" is a lot better. Even if you don't know much about graphic design terms and about it in general you can still help lots. After all, you are person they are showing it to, and usually making it for.

2nd- " What is it?" Graphic Design never needs to be something that makes since. Most things in graphic design can be random swirls in the figure of something that isn't real. When someone designed an MP3 player no one said, "it looks stupid so it must be bad". If its different it doesn't mean its bad.

3rd- Ratings-- Making a rating of an artwork never means anything. Saying 3/10 isn't helpful at all. Neither is 10/10, for there are very few graphic pieces that look 10/10 to another pro.
Giving individual ratings is very helpful... Example
The render (character) compared to everything else- 7/10, doesn't fit in where you placed it but it looks good!
Text- 5/10, it doesn't fit well with the colors
BG- 8/10, really catches my attention
Overall- 6-7/10

4th- Text-- Yes text is one of the most important parts in a graphic design, the icing on the cake. Don't be afraid to say.. "hide the text more it stands out to much" or "move the text so one half is on the left of the render and the other is on the right."

5th- Giving them too much advice can bite you in the but-- If you try to act like this amazing graphic designer sometimes people will question your judgment. What i mean is if you say "quit ms paint do it in gimp" that can be bad if they use gimp.. then you will look like a fool as well while making the artist look really bad. Also, dont use terms unless you know what they mean.

6th- How long you can do it-- When someone makes a graphic design and they post it in the creations section, they don't want to know how long you can make it... trust me. So you never need to say, "i can make that in 30 seconds" because honestly no one cares and its extremely obnoxious.

7th- Never ever say, "Like you could do better". Not only is it annoying, but when people give you harsh advice they are never saying "im better than you"... Also it almost always leaves to annoying arguing and flaming.

Thank you guys! Its just when i used to make designs its really dissapointing when you make something and people say "it sucks" and don't even tell you how to make it better.
